Arduino UNO Frequency Counter 1 Hz to 2.5 GHz
Saw this on ebay, 1 Hz to 2.5 GHz with 10 MHz external reference input option. Shield and LCD display attach to Arduino UNO R3 (not included). Click following link for details. RFCandy.biz |
An Arduino UNO R3 board was purchased. Power can be fed via USB type B jack or Power supply. |
The Arduino/counter sandwich was able to fit in 100 x 68 x 50 mm box. Some modification to the box was required in order to allow the input jacks to fit up against the interior wall. |
Daniel at rfcandy.biz provided all the arduino software .ino files. I used Arduino IDE 2.3.2 to compile and upload all of the files. The counter has two input jacks, 1 HZ to 50 MHz and 5 MHz to 2.5 GHz. The toggle switch, switches the displays. The 1 Hz to 50 MHz input has resolution to 1 Hz. The 5 MHz to 2.5 GHz input has resolution of 100 Hz. Displayed is 10 KHz from my Fluke 6060B signal generator. |
Displayed is 50 MHz into the low jack. with resolution of 1 Hz. Daniel's internal oscillator provided exactly the same reading as my 10 MHz GPS disciplined Oscillator. As it comes, calibration is excellent. |
Displayed is 50 MHz into the high jack. with resolution of 100 Hz. |
Displayed is 1 GHz into the high jack. with resolution of 100 Hz. |
Input sensitivity graph from rfcandy.biz project page. Red boxes are my measured sensitivity on Low band. Blue boxes are my measured sensitivity on High band. Using Fluke 6060B RF signal generator. |
